We are thrilled to announce Katalysen Ventures’ new board of directors. Our new board, formally elected at the 2022-01-25 EGM, consists of six members, four of which are considered independent.

Announcing expanded board

Aline Reichenberg Gustafsson (Independent)

Aline is the founder and managing director of Big Green Tree Media, the publisher of NordSIP, a news platform for professional investors about sustainable investing. She has close to 20 years of experience in the asset management industry in Stockholm, London and Geneva, including as a long/short equity hedge fund portfolio manager, and buy-side analyst, but also as CFO and COO in several asset management firms. Aline holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a License in Economic Sciences from the University of Geneva.

Ann-Sophie Hesser (Independent)

Ann-Sophie is an experienced lawyer with extensive business experience from the financial industry as well as compliance and regulatory issues. She is a partner of, and currently works, at Apriori Advokatbyrå in Stockholm. She has previously worked as General Counsel and was part of the management team of GE Money Bank for eight years. Prior to that she was a lawyer at the major Swedish law firm, Mannheimer Swartling, focusing on M&A and private equity.

Dominik Belloin (Independent)

Dominik Belloin brings 34 years of international experience in finance as advisor and principal for Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Oddo, Kepler and within the Bertelsmann Group. Areas of particular experience and expertise include corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and investment banking. Dominik holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Thomas Liljeton (Independent)

With more than 20 years within corporate finance at investment banks in Monaco, London, Boston and Stockholm, Thomas has focused on publicly traded companies within a wide variety of industries, covering the whole spectra from IPOs to M&A. In this capacity he has worked as a Certified Advisor by Nasdaq with companies at all stages of their development. His professional past also includes being part of the executive team of Nasdaq-listed iGaming-company Cherry.

Peter Almberg

Peter is the founder and CEO of Katalysen. He is a visionary with a leadership style often based on consensus. His favorite areas are innovation, team building, partnerships, deal making, and he thrives on making things happen in general.

Heiner Weber

As Chairman and Managing Partner at Katalysen, Heiner runs the firm’s Swiss operations from Geneva, being primarily responsible for Katalysen’s extensive international network of relations. Together with Katalysen founder Peter, Heiner co-founded derivatives market maker QT Optec in 1986, arguably Switzerland’s first fintech company.
