We are excited to announce that we have formed a partnership with Traders Alloy, a Stockholm-based Open Finance venture, to join as a late co-founder and venture developer. Together, we will help Traders Alloy find optimal product-market fit and secure key partnerships and clients.

Traders Alloy was founded by Andrew Boddy (Founder and CTO) and Petter Hattenbach (Founder & CEO) and empowers retail investors with data, tools, and processes so that they can manage their stock portfolio like professionals.

Boddy is a highly experienced software Technical Leader, having helped both enterprises and startups build and sell software solutions. Hattenbach is an experienced investor, serving as Partner at Nocturne Ventures and CKDA Venture Capital, and Venture Partner to Gorilla Capital. Traders Alloy has also previously received backing from Startup Wise Guys, one of Europe's top B2B startup accelerators.

"We have been busy building the Traders Alloy platform for the past two years, always with a mission to democratize equity data and in the process empower retail investors. This partnership with Katalysen Ventures will help us elevate Traders Alloy into a bigger context, and to leverage the highly consequential effects of Open Finance to achieve our mission and reduce still-existing inefficiencies in equity markets," said Petter Hattenbach, Traders Alloy Co-Founder.

We have all seen how game-changing Open Banking has been to the financial industry and banking. But when thinking about where the next big shift may be, we feel Open Finance is on the same industry-disrupting path.

Open Finance can be defined as a data-sharing concept that allows users to share their financial data with third parties. These other financial data sources can for example from fiscal authorities, insurance providers, pension funds, or even utility providers like electric companies.

“We believe in transparency, openness, and have seen first-hand many of the inefficiencies in equity markets that remain to be addressed. Inefficiencies that Traders Alloy has set out to solve. stated Peter Almberg, CEO of Katalysen Ventures.

We chose to back Traders Alloy because the timing feels right with new EUled Open Finance regulations just around the corner and because the talented founders are exceptional doers. Furthermore, our fintech expertise and network are a great match for Traders Alloy’s very tangible needs, allowing us to help add key partners and early adopters to the company's platform," commented Peter Almberg, CEO of Katalysen Ventures.

Stay tuned and watch this space, we are also working on developing a new type of forum for bringing together stakeholders within the Open Finance ecosystem! Contact our Venture Lead Robin to learn more at rd@katalysen.com.
