We have developed a model for joint success with early-stage ventures.
As entrepreneurs and investors, we know the challenges faced by founders – and what it takes to succeed.
What sets us apart from traditional investors is our contribution of resources beyond cash, including the application of hands-on expertise from a strong team of passionate venture developers and providing access to unique opportunities through an actively engaged network.
Here’s how it works:
Active partnership formed. We commit to invest hands-on expertise over a period of typically two years. We are paid in long-term options, which creates a strong alignment of interest between Katalysen and the venture. This results in high transparency and is financially sustainable for the venture.
Expertise invested. We actively develop and refine many aspects of the venture, by adding diverse hands-on expertise from our engaged network and our in-house team of venture developers. This reduces risk and increases the likelihood of success for both the venture and its investors.
Cash invested. We and our network often decide to invest cash in the venture.
Active partnership completed or renewed. The result of our joint, hard work is a stronger venture in which we continue to be engaged as active owners.
This holistic approach is our blueprint for venture development. Our active partnership model establishes Katalysen Ventures as a sustainable, long-term partner in this high-risk high-reward segment.
Katalysen Ventures (previously known as Katalysen & Partners) was founded in 2015 by life-long entrepreneur and venture developer Peter Almberg.
