Katalysen Strengthens Its Team with New Venture Partners and Senior Experts
Katalysen Ventures AB (publ) (“Katalysen”) has worked intensively during the autumn to strengthen the capacity and expertise of its team, reinforcing the firm’s position as an active, hands-on investment partner with a focus on turnaround opportunities in owner-led companies. The expanded team brings together experienced venture partners and operational experts, further enhancing Katalysen’s ability to support companies through critical phases of development and transformation.
This expansion is strategically well considered and closely aligned with the evolving needs of Katalysen’s core portfolio, driven by its increasing level of development and operational maturity. As Katalysen’s core investments have reached greater maturity, the broader market environment has also shifted. Together, these factors create a point in time where additional capabilities can be added with exceptional leverage and at very low incremental cost for Katalysen, enabled by strategic Venture Development agreements. The result is a disciplined and scalable expansion of the platform.
Together, these efforts enhance Katalysen’s capacity to create value and to successfully execute full or partial exits.
In order to realize the strategy described above, a number of key individuals are central to its successful execution, and we are pleased to welcome both new Venture Partners and Hands-On Experts to the team.
Active Venture Partners
Per Järnebrink brings more than three decades of entrepreneurial experience, having co-founded and scaled over ten companies across industrial and technology-driven sectors. With deep experience in commercialisation, international expansion, and M&A, Per strengthens Katalysen’s capacity to work closely with management teams navigating complex growth and ownership transitions. In addition to hands-on engagement in selected portfolio companies, Per will play a central role in establishing Enablers Club, Katalysen’s growing network of experienced operators, investors, and domain experts.
Oscar Chröisty joins Katalysen with a strong background in strategy, M&A, and organisational transformation. Having advised leadership teams across a range of industries, including during his time at Monitor Deloitte, Oscar adds analytical rigor and execution focus to Katalysen’s venture partnership model. His primary engagement will be in supporting Valega, where he will work closely with management teams at key strategic inflection points.
Expanded Bench of Hands-On Experts
In parallel, Katalysen continues to broaden its group of hands-on experts, ensuring that portfolio companies have access to real operational experience when it matters most, supported by an extensive global network.
Christian Holmer joins with extensive leadership experience from global healthcare companies such as MSD, Pfizer, and Abbott. Drawing on his background in strategy execution, operations, and international growth within the life sciences sector, Christian will support QuTEM and S4DX, working closely with management teams in complex, science-driven environments where execution capability is critical.
Chris Tornblom brings deep experience from capital markets and public company environments, with a strong track record in shareholder expansion, investor relations, and scaling listed businesses. Chris supports portfolio companies as they strengthen market positioning, governance, and readiness for public-market engagement or ownership transitions.
Daniel Hill joins with a strong background across capital markets, asset management, venture capital/private equity, and management consulting within financial services. Combining capital advisory expertise with hands-on experience in operational models and financial software platforms, Daniel will support Valega, alongside one additional venture, with a focus on fundraising, deal structuring, and strategic execution.
Christian, Chris, and Daniel join Andreas Dahlén (Founder, Apollonian), whose experience spans public policy, investment strategy, and institutional collaboration. Together, this group forms a practical, execution-oriented expert layer designed to work side-by-side with management teams.
Their guidance provides Katalysen and its portfolio companies with strategic perspective and access to international networks of expertise.
This expanded team reflects Katalysen’s continued focus on being more than a source of capital: a collaborative investment partner built to unlock opportunities, support decisive execution, and align interests for the long term.
